Design

Here at the shop, we work with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator on Windows machines for all of our design work. If you've got any ideas for your next printed piece, we'd love to hear them. All that we ask is that you bring any text or images you want in the piece and feel free to leave the rest to us!

Pre- Press

If you've already got a design and would like to send it to us for printing, we can do that, too! Usually, our process here is that we like to send our customers a proof of their project before we print it. In order for the process to run smoothly, it is the responsibility of the customer to return this proof in a timely manner. Here is a list of our acceptable file types:

  • Portable Document File (.pdf)
  • InDesign File (.indd - must include any linked files)
  • Photoshop File (.psd)
  • Illustrator File (.ai)
  • Word Document (.doc / .docx)*
  • Excel Document (.xls / .xlsx)*
  • Publisher Document (.pub)*

*may incur additional fee

Presses

Here in the shop, we are the proud owners of a Heidelberg MOVS 4-color offset sheetfed press. We also have a Heidelberg KORD 1-color offset and a Ryobi 2-color offset press. For short-run jobs we now have a Xerox 700 digital color press to help speed up our turn-around time on small jobs. For finishing we have a Heidelberg Windmill that gets used mostly for numbering, perforating and die cutting.

Bindery

In our bindery, we have an MBO Folder, which allows us to  consistently and accurately fold any job that needs it. We have a Rosback booklet maker, which is great for annual reports, employee handbooks, or any booklet that's 8 pages or more and stapled. We have a Polar Power Cutter, which gets used on virtually every job that comes through the shop. We also have a Stitcher for smaller quantities or trickier jobs that require the precision of handwork.
